I loved the writer's use of the word 'snootiness.'

P.S. By all accounts, Kate's book tour has been a disaster. She's been 'on the road', away from her family (including Mother's Day and birthdays), away from her wandering husband, and for what? The new book is bombing. A few weeks ago, it almost cracked the Top 100 at amazon.com. Now, it's barely hanging on to the Top 1,000. Amazon reviewers are giving it 1.5 (out of 5) stars. Talk about your all-time backfires.

Thanks for well written article about Kate Gosselin. I have had the "pleasure" of watching her show and I too am terrified for her kids. While I am sure the show has provided an extra level of financial security for their family, the emphasis on the importance of fame and the perceived general attitude of Kate has to be a harmful environment for 8 children to grow in.
It scares me to see how popular this show is and hear how women love and respect this woman! Hopefully Kate, and some viewers as well, can take some of your advice to heart and change their ways for the sake of their children.
