Kin: "Jon & Kate" Kids Being "Exploited"
Her Brother And Sister-in-law Call For Laws Protecting Children In Reality Shows

CBS) The eight children of Jon and Kate Gosselin are being exploited and viewed as commodities, all in the name of ratings, Kate's brother and sister-in-law charged on The Early Show Wednesday.

Kevin Kreider, Kate's younger brother, and Kreider's wife, Jodi Kreider, told co-anchor Harry Smith they're speaking out now because they think it's high-time for laws protecting children who appear in reality shows such as TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8." They say they want to be the "voice" of the Gosselin youngsters.

They say they're already seeing signs of adverse effects on the Gosselins' sextuplets and twins of having TV cameras constantly capturing the lives of all the Gosselin family members.

Tabloid reports claim the show is also impacting the Gosselin marriage. Both are said to be having or have had affairs. Both deny it.

I think Kevin and Jodi should act like a family should and protect the entire family and keep their ugly gossip to themselves. If they are concerned for the kids, then they wouldn't be making things even more difficult by having interviews. It looks to me like they want their 15 minutes of fame. They are both part of the problem with the Gosselin family.

Get a life of your own Jodi and Kevin and give Jon and Kate a break.

I think as family members they have the right to speak out for the CHILDREN. I think they were very careful in their interview to try to stay away from gossip -- clearly they know way more than they were willing to say!

I think Jon & Kate have become so wrapped up in their "celebrity life" (Kate more so) that they've forgotten that their relationship with one another and their kids are supposed to be the most important thing. BRAVO for Kevin & Jodi ~ they're a beacon of light and I don't think they're looking for their 15 minutes of fame. They seem quite sincere in their intentions to protect their nieces & nephews.

This is one former viewer that's glad to turn off the show and let the ratings drop like a rock ~ for the children!
